The Ugo Basile Fear Conditioning Cage external digital inputs

Introduction
There are four external TTL inputs available on an Ugo Basile Fear conditioning Cage. TTL is a standard 'logic' signal used by many digital devices, and it's not uncommon to find devices which output signals at TTL levels. For example, a capacitive proximity sensor might have a TTL output which switches to a logic 1 when something is close to it.
The Fear Conditioning Cage TTL inputs specification
| Active state | User selectable |
| Switching threshold low | 1.0V |
| Switching threshold high | 3.0V |
Connecting the input to something
If a device has a TTL level output ,then you just need to connect the device to the TTL input (and to GND) and ANY-maze will be able to read the output's level.
Using an input within an experiment
In order to use a TTL input in an experiment, it must be included in the protocol. This is a simple process and is described in detail in the Setting up an On/Off Input topic.
