Using the ANY-maze Synchronisation interface in tests

Introduction

After connecting and testing your ANY-maze Synchronisation interface you'll be ready to actually use it in some tests.

Including the ANY-maze Synchronisation interface in your protocol

In order to use the ANY-maze Synchronisation interface in your tests you will need to include it in your protocol. And in order to include it the protocol you will need to first set the protocol to a mode which includes inputs and outputs - most probably Video tracking mode with input/output. Full details about the protocol modes and how to set them can be found here.

After setting the protocol mode, you will be able to add the ANY-maze Synchronisation interface to your protocol as an I/O device, full details about how to do this can be found here.

Setting up the electrophysiology synchronisation options in the protocol

The protocol includes a specific element for synchronising ANY-maze with electrophysiology systems. Having used this to specify how you want to perform synchronisation, you will need to set the ports that will be used to output the synchronisation signals, these will be ports on your ANY-maze Synchronisation interface.
