ANY-maze Help > The ANY-maze reference > The Protocol page > The elements of a protocol > Inputs and outputs > On/off inputs > Selecting I/O ports > Multiple inputs window Multiple inputs window
In briefUse this window to choose which physical inputs will be used by an on/off input, and to specify how the inputs should be combined - either ANDed or ORed.
DetailsYou can specify that any number of physical inputs should be combined to create a single ANY-maze 'On/off input'. You can even combine inputs from different physical devices. You can't choose physical inputs which are already being used by another on/off input (or for other apparatus), but ANY-maze will warn you if you try to do this. Having chosen the physical inputs you wish to use, you should then specify how they should be combined: either logically ANDed or logically ORed. ANDing inputs means that they must all be active for the overall input to be considered active; ORing inputs means that if any of them are active, the overall input will be considered active. Note that what constitutes 'active' in this sense depends on the trigger setting made in the on/off input's settings page.
