DC unplugged

Introduction

Various I/O devices can be used within ANY-maze, and some of them require more power than the computer can supply via its USB ports. Some exaples of this are:

 •The ANY-maze Audio interface
 •The ANY-maze Operant interface

These devices require a DC power connection in order to function.

Details

If at any point during a test the DC power cable to one of these devices becomes unplugged, ANY-maze will lose connection to the device and the test will be aborted. A warning message will be test will lose syringe does not contain enough liquid to dispense, it may stall - that's when ANY-maze is still trying to run the pump, but it's reached the end of its travel. When this happens, a warning will be generated.

Details

To fix this problem, simply plug the DC power cable into the device. If this problem happens repeatedly, you may need to check that the power cable has a firm connection (and cannot be accidentally knocked out of the device) and that the power cable has not become damaged.
