The ANY-maze Synchronisation interface outputs

Introduction

The ANY-maze Synchronisation interface has six ports any of which can be configured as outputs.

Connecting to the ports

The ports are available on standard BNC connectors. The signal is on the central pin and the shield is connected to ground. The entire ANY-maze Synchronisation interface is galvanically isolated from the PC.

Using the ports

The ports output standard 5V TTL signals and are design to be used for electrophysiology synchronisation, although they can also be used as generic outputs.

ANY-maze Synchronisation interface output port specification:

 Output typeTTL
 Default active stateHigh
 High level voltage4.1V typical (3.2 - 4.9V)
 Low level voltage0.4V typical (0.3 - 0.6V)
 Maximum current6mA (source/sink)
 Maximum switching frequency200Hz
 Write latency1.5ms +/-1ms
