Syringe pumps provide a way in which a drug can be administered to an animal depending on the situation in a test. For example, a small quantity of a drug could be administered whenever the animal presses a lever, or whenever it enters a specific zone. The volume, flow rate and direction of the pump can all be adjusted dynamically by the system. For more information about syringe pumps, refer to the topics below.
