Connecting an ANY-maze Audio interface to your speakers

Introduction

You can connect 4-ohm or 8-ohm speakers to your ANY-maze Audio interface using the 2-way, pluggable screw terminal blocks on the front of the device. You can connect the speakers' leads either way round, it makes no difference.

Testing

After you have connected your speakers to the ANY-maze Audio interface, you will of course want to test them. This is easily done using the I/O page.

1.Open the ANY-maze Audio interface in the list on the left side of the I/O page.
2.Select the interface's Speakers, again, in the list on the left side of the page.
3.The right hand side of the page will show the six speakers, which will all be off.
4.Click one of the speakers and it will begin to play a tone. To change what the speaker is playing, use the Settings tab.

Take care when testing a speaker, as, depending on the currently selected volume, the sound may be very loud.

If when you turn the speaker on, you don't hear anything, then check the following:

That DC power is connected to the ANY-maze Audio interface
That the speaker is correctly connected to the ANY-maze Audio interface
That the volume is set to be high enough to hear

If you can't work out what the problem is, don't panic - just contact ANY-maze Support who will be happy to help.
