ANY-maze Help > I/O devices supported by ANY-maze > Ugo Basile instruments supported by ANY-maze > The Ugo Basile Thermal Gradient Ring > Setting up and testing the Thermal Gradient Ring Setting up and testing the Thermal Gradient Ring
IntroductionThere are three steps involved in setting up and testing the Thermal Gradient Ring:
Connecting the Thermal Gradient Ring to your computerThe Thermal Gradient Ring is supplied with a USB cable which plugs into a USB port on your computer, and into a port on the back of the device. This cable is required for ANY-maze to be able to communicate with the Thermal Gradient Ring. Before using the Thermal Gradient Ring with ANY-maze, it will need to be connected to the computer using this cable. When ANY-maze starts up it will attempt to communicate with the Thermal Gradient Ring. Testing the Thermal Gradient RingAfter plugging in the Thermal Gradient Ring and connecting it to your computer, it's a good idea to test that it is working with ANY-maze - this is easily done using the I/O page.
If you have any problems getting the Thermal Gradient Ring to behave as you expect, just contact ANY-maze Support who will be happy to help. See also:
