Setting up and testing the Thermal Gradient Ring

You MUST install the 'ANY-maze USB devices' driver software before you plug the Thermal Gradient Ring into your computer. You can do this from the Drivers part of the Support page.

Introduction

There are three steps involved in setting up and testing the Thermal Gradient Ring:

1.Install the 'ANY-maze USB devices' driver software
2.Connect the Thermal Gradient Ring to your computer
3.Test that the Thermal Gradient Ring is working

Connecting the Thermal Gradient Ring to your computer

The Thermal Gradient Ring is supplied with a USB cable which plugs into a USB port on your computer, and into a port on the back of the device. This cable is required for ANY-maze to be able to communicate with the Thermal Gradient Ring.

Before using the Thermal Gradient Ring with ANY-maze, it will need to be connected to the computer using this cable. When ANY-maze starts up it will attempt to communicate with the Thermal Gradient Ring.

Testing the Thermal Gradient Ring

After plugging in the Thermal Gradient Ring and connecting it to your computer, it's a good idea to test that it is working with ANY-maze - this is easily done using the I/O page.

1.Open the Thermal Gradient Ring in the list on the left-hand side of the I/O page.
2.The right-hand side of the page will show four temperature sensors. They should all be reading approximately room temperature.
3.Test each of the sensors in turn by holding them in your hand. The temperature should slowly increase.

If you have any problems getting the Thermal Gradient Ring to behave as you expect, just contact ANY-maze Support who will be happy to help.
