Ugo Basile Activity Cages

Support for this device is considered a legacy feature of ANY-maze and will be removed in a future version.

Introduction

The Ugo Basile Activity Cage system can be used with ANY-maze to detect vertical movement of an animal (ANY-maze itself will detect horizontal movement).

The activity cages have two photobeam sensor blocks mounted in them, and ANY-maze can use either one block (to detect, for example, rearing) or both blocks (perhaps to differentiate between partial and full rears).

Up to six cages can be connected to a single serial port on your PC (although this does depend on the type of cage you own).
