Quick start instructions

There's no real quick start for ANY-maze because you have to set up a camera, digitizer and computer and then create a protocol before you're ready to test. However, if you're impatient to get started, then here's a list of the steps you'll need to take:

  
 1.Plan your system and choose a location for the computer, preferably where it will not be visible to the camera. 
 2.If you already have the computer you intend to use for tracking, install ANY-maze on it. 
 3.Work out what equipment you'll need to automate your apparatus. If you're not sure, then you can contact ANY-maze Support and we'll be happy to advise you. 
 4.Acquire the necessary equipment. 
 5.Install a camera mount directly over and perpendicular to the apparatus. Organise cabling and, if necessary, power to the camera. 
 6.For a USB camera, install any software which came with it, then install the camera.  
 7.If you're using an analogue camera, install any software which came with the digitizer card and then install the digitizer in your computer. 
 8.Connect the camera to the digitizer / computer and check they're working. 
 9.Create an experiment. 
 10.Create a protocol for your apparatus. 
 11.Enter the experiment details. 
 12.Enter the animals' treatment groups.  
  
   You're ready to start running some tests....
